  7. Regarding Peter's comment "Viacord is cheaper than CBR, check out their website"....

Based on my research, I think CBR works out to be cheaper. Additionally, CBR was highly recommended by my OBGYN. Plus we found CBR's customer service to be superior. We finally went with CBR

  9. Just my 2 cents about Cryo-Cell -- when we were researching about cord blood banks, we found an article on Cryo-Cell having a large cord blood spillage due to a malfunction in their freezer. One such article is at http://www.sptimes.com/2003/02/03/Business/Meltdown.shtml

  12. As a parent that has stored twice with Cbr the decision was simple. Cbr is the ONLY cord blood bank in the world that can relase partial samples for transplant and the ONLY cord blood bank in the world that has been able to treat adults.....

  13. A total savings of $775! That's good to know -- we plan to sign up later today. We are expecting later this month. Wish me all the luck :)

  16. As far as "Anonymous" says "Cbr is only UCB bank in world that can release partial samples for transplant" is totally incorrect. I suggest you do your research as dual-compartment storage is all over the UCB banking industry.

  21. We had planned to donate our cord blood to the national bank, only to find out in the delivery room that our hospital was no longer participating. After learning of this we debated whether or not to use private banking (the hospital had emergency kits on hand) and this discount offer sealed the deal. The restaurant.com certificates came within hours.
